Wal-Mart locations *ugh*
Sorry to get slightly off topic.....I keep hearing that there are Walmarts all over the place, but I have never, ever seen one. I rarely leave Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond, is that my problem? I know there is one in Renton, but where are all these ubiquitous Walmarts that everyone speaks of?

There are lots of Targets, but I don't think there are any Wal-Marts between Renton and Lynwood.

Yeah, sorry. I should have specified that. I was trying to imply that there will be one of the three just about anywhere you're located in the Puget Sound area.
There are 17 Wal-Marts in the greater Puget Sound area within a 50 mile radius of the 98105 ZIP I used as the search area, but as mentioned, nothing within the Seattle city limits. Wal-Mart is known for locating their stores in rural areas and suburbs and not within big cities.

Maybe in the Seattle area - but everywhere else where Walmart rules (ick) they are everywhere, city limits be damned.

True, now that I think about some of the big cities I've been to, there always has been multiple Wal-Marts.

Its interesting where the 17 Wal-Mart's are located. Keep them in the suburbs.

Why do Seattle folks care where some else chooses to shop? Not everyone can afford Nordstrom.

We don't care where someone shops. In my eyes its the structures themselves which are unattractive. Massive concrete boxy structures with massive parking lots. The suburbs where land is available is where they need to stay. Walmart in Seattle? Sure, if you can blend it in with the dense walkable cityscape. There use to be a nice Fred Meyer at Broadway Plaza on Capitol Hill. That's what I'm talking about.

I know where the Walmarts are but refuse to shop there.
