Default Horse property.

Is there any horse property that is within commuting distance to Renton. I have a job opportunity but my wife want's property for her horse. Or does anybody know about boarding costs in the area.

I know some folks who have horses and live in Renton, in SE Renton near Spring Lake-Lake Desire....There are also folks with horses near and on the May Valley Road towards Issaquah in Renton.

The most complete resource online for real estate in a very wide area near Seattle is
Seattle Real Estate, Top Seattle Real Estate Search, TheMLSonline.com
This can really help you find what's available, and do some comparison shopping.

You can start the search with few parameters, then add specifics.
I got 665 results with very few parameters.
Under the scroll list of cities, I clicked on "Add More Criteria".
"City List for": Renton
"Price": to $750,000. (I didn't enter a minimum.)
"Property Type": I checked BOTH "Residential Homes" and "Farm & Hobby". In the automatic list that drops under Residential Homes, I unclicked Houseboat and Townhome.

Out of the 665 results, figure at least 90% won't interest you. That leaves some 50 properties that might interest you.

You can search as many cities as you want all in the same search, or in separate searches. You can save your searches, and refer to them whenever you want -- they will be updated each time a new listing fits your parameters!

Have fun with this site!

Couple comments on horse property. First of all, King County regulations make things difficult around here regarding larger parcels (i.e., horse property). Be aware of that before you buy.

Second, the winter rains and thick underbrush tend to make Western Washington less of a horse climate than drier places like Colorado, Wyoming, or Arizona. People do own horses here but pastures get very muddy in the wintertime, and you get big puddles in your pasture. A visit is the best way to make sure that Western Washington will work for horses.
