I'm glad my breeze-by-breeze description was helpful for you!

Hint: When "all" your co-workers give you the same advice, you'd be a very wise person to listen to them! I know the area you're talking about, 23rd & East Yesler; it's not one of the safer areas of Seattle. I would not live there (I'm a woman). I do know there can be a fairly constant stream of drunks in that area...

I would go north til I got to E. John St./E. Thomas St., and start looking on the north side of Madison. Better yet: stay renting, and keep looking in Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland. OMG the east side is such a better choice in terms of safety (for you, your possessions, and your car), pleasant surroundings, and ultimate resale value. You can always live where it looks "ordinary" on the outside and you create a home of charm and delight inside, right? Then you won't be paying for someone else's ideas, but only for your own. Nice ... Which you can then take with you when you go somewhere else, eh? Looks in a home, as in a loved one, are not what matters, right?

alermy is on a distinguished road
allforcats, that is very cheerful. I started to think like that today actually. If I end up in a normal condo, I'll just have to set a theme for my apartment myself, which can be fun and creative!
