Default From Taipei to Seattle: suggestions on 4 month car rental, ...etc.

Hello,
My families (3 adults) are planning for an 3 to 4 month long vacation in the west coast USA. We'll probably arrive in Seattle. Therefore, I am zealous in searching for economical long term care rental close by Seattle airport. Also, perhaps a one week long apartment rental will be needed (to overcome jet lag in the first few days). If any of you have suggestions, I am all ears. ^_^ ^_^

Thank you.

Most car rental agencies (all have airport locations) will offer long-term rentals. I'm thinking that would be your best bet.

As for a week stay for an apartment, I'd look at places like Extended Stay America Hotels or similar places if it's just a week you're planning on staying. Extended Stay has several locations near Sea-Tac airport.

You could try Temporary Furnished Apartments, Corporate Apartments, Serviced Apartments and Extended Stay Housing in Washington. They have locations in Bellevue and Seattle.

There's always temporary housing listing on Craigslist, seattle-tacoma sublets & temporary classifieds - craigslist

But, I wouldn't stay near the airport if I were you.

This is an excellent suggestion. "Near the airport" -- near Seattle Tacoma International Airport -- is an unpleasant area, and you could encounter crime. You would want to walk around there after dark, or go to a restaurant after dark. I, a woman, would not walk there at any time of the day or night, but I like to be careful.

The suggestions made in this thread for hotels and other places to stay are excellent suggestions. If I were you, I would choose a place in downtown Seattle (away from SeaTac Airport) or in Bellevue. Please check Mapquest or another map for locations compared with the airport.

GREAT HOTEL RESOURCE: TripAdvisor.com is a site where real travelers write their real experiences at hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc. througout the world. It's the best place to learn what hotels are really like:
Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor

All American major car rental companies, as mentioned, will rent a car to you for long periods of time: Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise, Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar, Budget.

If you get hungry for Taiwanese-oriented Chinese food during your visit, check out Yea's Wok in Newcastle. Incredibly busy place, but worth the wait.
