hi all, I may need to commute to Pioneer Square from the Mill Creek area. Are there any decent rail options for that route? Basically, somewhere I can drive to reasonable close (up to 5 mi) to catch a train down there.

thanks!

No, there is no train of any kind anywhere near Mill Creek. You would have to drive a lot more than 5 miles to the Univeristy District, nearest light rail ( 19 miles, 45 minutes) or for the train, or 12 miles, 25 minutes to the Sounder train in Mukilteo.its 29 miles, 45 minutes to drive all the way in. By bus, you will be able to take use the Sound Transit bus system, with one transfer it will take a little over an hour. You could also use Community Transit, if you drive to Lynwood, that bus is only 40 minutes, but has limited runs. Your drive would be over 9 miles, over 20 minutes. Any driving at commute times between Mill Creek and Seattle will be bumper to bumper and slow.

No light rail anywhere close to there yet. Commuter rail (Sounder) stops in Everett, Mukilteo and Edmonds.

With limited free all-day parking available at the Edmonds Station and, especially, Mukilteo Station. Everett has many more parking slots, but they'd need to drive north to go south...
