The Family Drive In in Kent just off of West Valley Highway has great burgers but there is no inside dining so get it to go or go on a nice sunny day and sit at the picnic table.

Well, we tried the famous Dick's burger today. We weren't impressed at all. The price was nice $11.00 for 2 of us for lunch is nice, but the burger was sorta along the McDonalds line. The XXX Rootbeer place still hold #1 for us.

XXX makes a much better burger than Dick's. Dick's is a place to go at 2AM when you're sh*tfaced, when gourmet sensibilities are not an utmost priority.

Pittgal, I'm sorry you weren't impressed with Dick's. Honestly the burgers there are not all that great...the few times a year that I go there are due mostly to nostalgia.
But, at least you can say that you have now eaten at a Seattle "institution"...

I agree, except that I think their burgers are really good, for fast food. I'd take that over McDonald's, Wendy's or Jack in the Box any day.
It's been a couple years since I've eaten there though, so it's not the place I'm headed to when I want the best burger I can get my hands on.

Mentioning Red Mill again ...a lot of folks I've talked to used to tell me that Scooter's in Ballard will beat a Red Mill burger.
If you're ever in the area, I'd suggest to give it a try. I had a burger there once but it didn't seem that memorable to me but I think it was because of the company I was with, not the food.
I think it's on 24th NW just a couple of blocks off of Market.
Does anybody remember Gulliver's in downtown Bellevue? That was my favorite back in the 70's and 80's.
