So, before I was pregnant, I hated hamburgers. I never ordered them anywhere.
Midway through my pregnancy, I started craving them like crazy, and I've been eating them ever since. I still crave them, even though my son is 4 months old now. So where's a good place for a burger. I know Red Robin is supposed to be good, but we've eaten at the one in Issaquah 4 times now and we will *never* go back there. I love Fatburger, but my husband is sick of it. So any other suggestions?? V. =) |

I'm not much of a carnivore, but I loved the burger I had at Jak's Grill in West Seattle (there is one in Issaquah too, I think). Of course it should be good, at something like ten bucks.
The Metropolitan Grill is said to have a great Kobe Burger at lunch that I've haven't tried. At the other end of the scale, try the monstrous Earthquake Burger at the Puyallup Fair this fall, with Walla Walla sweet onions and probably 1000 calories. Speaking of iconic local experiences, I've never quite understood the love affair that with Dick's Drive-In, perhaps because I didn't grow up here. Then again, I've only gone there once for my infrequent burger fix.* |

Red Mill Burgers are the best in town
If you are in Issaquah, try the Triple X, too. |

We just ate the about 2 weeks ago for the first time and LOVED it, by far the best burger and onion rings yet!

How about Dicks? Whenever we go to Seattle the kids insist I stop at a Dicks and get them a couple of burgers, fries (with tarter) and a frozen shake. The burgers are great and cheap, so you can eat as many as you want. We usually hit he one in Lake City since it's close to my sisters house.

If you have a Kidd Valley convenient to you, try them. They're better than most, though I don't consider them worth a cross-town pilgrimage. Happily, we live 4 blocks from one

Dicks is the comfort burger but the fries drip.

I had the best burger at the Dog House Backdoor in Langley a couple of weeks ago. The place didn't get good reviews online, but the food was fantastic-- I like bar food once in awhile and this fit the bill.
edited to add- Langley is Island County not King, but an easy day trip from Seattle. Last edited by mayfair; 03-05-2008 at 11:08 AM. |

Cheesecake Factory surprisingly has great burgers. Big Daddy's drive-in in Auburn is great. Triple XXX and Dick's I will add my vote to as well.

Attic Alehouse in Madison Park makes a great burger, as does the Deluxe on Broadway (Capitol Hill).
