To try and cut this to the point - wife and I are getting back together.
I am trying to find a good rental place for us and me still trying to find more about Seattle/Redmond, and her not knowing Seattle at all - it's hard.

I am ideally looking for this:

- 2 bed
- good up keep
- townhouse/single family home/condo. Apartment is ok I guess but as long as its not too expensive?
- spacious
- garage for storage and or car (she has a car)
- close to amenities
- near or around/commutable to Redmond
- close to bus lines (if poss)
- in unit washer/dryer

She is asking for having the master bedroom bathroom have 2 sinks instead of the 1 we keep seeing!

Any thoughts? Somewhere of a family feel I guess or a quiet area.

Any names of apartment/condo complexes that come to mind? Really trying to find something ASAP. As for budget, the less the better but nothing more than $2400 - that is my top top mark.

We hate noisy neighbours - something to be aware about
My requirements have always been almost the same - but this time I am not so hung up on anywhere that is walkable to groceries (although ideal) since she has as car and I will be learning to drive soon. Hopefully this will open up options.

Also, names of neighborhoods around Redmond?

Consider the Crossroads area - lower cost (relative to the rest of the Eastside), diverse, close to all the daily amenities but only sorta walkable, and very convenient to Redmond and Bellevue. It's not horrid to get to Seattle, but if you had to make that trek daily - you'd find yourself wanting to move closer. Plus there are some decent transit options. You'd be looking along 156th Ave NE, between NE 8th and NE 24th.

Just a note: as someone who rented for a long time and moved around the city a lot, for whatever reason double sinks are not that common around here. You might have better luck finding something with a second bathroom and just each staking out your own territory.

Thank you.

yes I told her that too that the double sinks this is rare around here. Even the other place we rented had 2.5 bathrooms and no double sinks. Her previous apartment was a 1 bed 1 bath and it had double sinks (this was both in Oregon)

Found a complex in Downtown Redmond. I will be checking it out but the concern would be noise/privacy. What areas are quiet and private ish?

Howdy lostsoul, How about a small home in East Bellevue Crossroads area? Congrats on getting back together, perhaps you'll have to change your screen name .

He'll be "foundsoul" now. "I once was lost, but now I'm found, Amazing Grace!"

Best wishes for everything, OP.

You gotta move real fast. And faster is preferrable.
DS has already selected new tenant for our to be closed condo (Aug30). Tenant move in Sept 1.
Competitive rent.
YMMV
