There is a French Private school in Bellevue - French Immersion School of Washington

As for the other questions, that's been covered here in great detail. Yes you can make it on $100k, though, I don't know about buying a home unless you have a significant down payment... and "making it" will vary from person to person, as it will largely depend on your "way" of living and the things you spend your money on, debt, etc.

Some areas are - but I don't know what you are looking for or what you want in a community/home/area... or your housing budget.

In other words, if your idea of "making it" is owning an unnecessarily large home, than you may need to aim lower.

No, that's not what I was saying at all. Perhaps you are, but I wasn't.

You will have a difficult time finding a single family home in Bellevue, and most of the east side, with $300k. Perhaps a townhome? But I know my old townhome in Issaquah is going for more than that right now.

Maria,
At the moment home prices are still very high in the Seattle area, but a lot of people rent when they first move to a place and then decide to buy later on. It makes sense to do that since rental costs are much less than mortgage payments and home prices are starting to drop, so if you moved here and rented for a year, then you might find that nice home for under 300 thousand.
