Yeah, I know what you mean. Boudins in SF says that they are using the same "starter" dough from 1849, in the gold rush days. I have no idea what that means , but we splurge on their mail order sourdough and chowder from time to time.

A longstanding Fish & Chips joint that we've been meaning to try is Spuds, on Alki.

Oh, believe me I didn't compare it to the ones in SF!!!! Just a average good bowl, for a bread bowl outside of SF!

Daly's on Eastlake is closing? That's another of the better burger places too.

Is Daly's the small burger joint right on the (west side?) of a bridge. If so, they had good burgers and GREAT fresh strawberry milkshakes!!
