Oh Hi Jane! Just seems to fit your vibe, needs and budget. I've shown homes recently in that area that fit your price point. Schools are really good, convenient location. You get more for your money north of 405 (Canyon Park, Mill Creek), then closer in Bothell/Kenmore.

Cheers,
Vince

I've been here about a month now. We sold our Townhouse in California, East Bay SLZ.

Every home if not most on the market here in the North Sound I think it's called - Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, MountLake Terrace, Mill Creek, Shoreline, Everett and Bothell under $700K is a moderate to super fixer upper. The ones that aren't look like they would be great until you drive out to see them then you realise the location is terrible because of the terrain. We thought we found a bargain for $600K until we drove there two lane roadway 25-30 minutes from i405 in Alderwood Manor. Once we got to the house we decided the commute wouldn't be worth it, didn't bother going in for the open house.

We are going to start looking further down south at new construction in Renton. That area seems like a decent commute, I drove through it on the drive from California.

Great. We will be sure to check it out when we are out there in a few weeks. Thank you Vince!

My pleasure Jane, you are coming at a beautiful time of year. Make sure and enjoy some nature when you are out here, take a day hike in the mountains, hop on a ferry.

If his job truly will be Downtown. Living on Vashon Island and commuting via the north end Vashon passenger direct to Downtown ferry (and car ferry to West Seattle when needed) is an intriguing possibility.

klh, a small home could work in Shoreline for $600K. That area is really popular, I just sold a 2400 SF split level very close to there for $825,000.

We just closed on 3083sqf. house in Lynnwood. The price, square footage and location hit all of our needs.
