Default How long does it take to drive from West Seattle to North Seattle?

Hi there! I'm going to be moving to Seattle in a few months and was wondering how long, approximately, would a drive from west seattle up to say...Greenwood, take? With/without traffic? I have about a week or two to find a job and an apartment and was wondering if I live in, say...Fremont, Greenwood, or even West Seattle, whether or not it would be a long drive to get to downtown Seattle. And I wonder how long it would take to drive from south Seattle to north Seattle? Just out of curiosity. I'm from southern California/ Los Angeles and Orange county area so I know what bad traffic actually is! I hear it's pretty bad in Seattle...?

Alright, any info would be great. Thanks guys!

Karen

West Seattle to Greenwood could be done in as little as 25 minutes, if the traffic gods are with you. I live south of Seattle close to Renton and was taking some classes at North Seattle Community College, and that trip usually took 25-35 minutes, again at off hours.

West Seattle to Greenwood wouldn't be too bad, even during rush hour. You could cross over the West Seattle Bridge and take 99 north, and you wouldn't hit a single stop light until the far side of Woodland Park, which is close to the southern edge of Greenwood.
