I've finally made the decision, after a few months of research on a dozen cities, to come back to my "adult hometown" of Seattle (lived previously 1994-2012, 2014-2015).

I'm renting a 2BR ~1000sqft in LA now, and my lease is up on 12/31.

I've been reading lately about the changes in the rental market, from the larger apartment buildings coming online this Fall.

I've lived all over the city/suburbs, but at the moment, I'm leaning towards the Capitol Hill area.

My question is, does anyone have any knowledge of anything would would 'move the needle' on rental pricing over the next few months? Like any buildings in that area opening up Q4 2018 vs. Q1 2019.

I wouldn't mind jumping ship earlier than December (assuming I can do so w/o penalty), but if rental prices should be declining over the next few months, I would hang around LA until December to get a better deal.

(And I have been watching Zillow, but haven't picked up on pricing trends - although inventory seems a bit better lately.)

Thanks!
