Default Question about Longs Drugs...

So I thought I saw one (Long's) while driving along one day... But then I heard that the locations in WA state would be closing. Are they gone now? If not does anyone know of a Long's Drugs location in your area?

I'm pretty sure all the Washington State stores closed last fall.

There were only about a dozen Longs stores in WA, and that's a reason the company gave for pulling out - lack of "critical mass." About half of the locations were going to be involved in a swap with Rite Aid, with Rite Aid giving up locations in California, where Longs is strong. I might be wrong, but one of these traded sites was local, like on Mercer Island? Other sites were just closed.

You should be careful about putting too much faith in web site store locaters. The Office Max site still lists a site in Bellevue that's been closed over a year.

Default CVS bought Longs Drugs

In Hawaii because of Long's Drugs being an island icon, CVS will be keeping the name "Long's Drugs" but I'm sure this will vary from area to area.
