I see this is an existing thread, but the posts are fairly old. Any ideas? We don't have school aged children but would be concerned about schools for resale. I'd prefer public transportation if possible. More rural is okay. Thanks in advance!

I always say. Try to live as close to you work place if possible. If not check Maple Valley. I lived there years ago.

I live in Lakeland Hills area and love the area. Very safe and family friendly compared to the rest of the Auburn/Kent areas.

Just know Auburn is more "Blue Collar" than the rest of the Seattle area and if you're OK with that, you'll like the place. Yes, there is a homeless issue, as well as a drug issue here in Auburn, but that's everywhere now. BUT!! To date I haven't seen anybody begging for money up in the Lakeland Hills area to date.

I work in Renton and the drive isn't that bad at all. Good luck and welcome to the South King County area!!

P.S., if you are already here, how about updating us... If possible.
