I guess people are going to complain about the weather anywhere. On the NC forum, people are whining because its been raining for the past 4 days.
Though if I was in Vegas in August, I'm pretty sure I'd melt.

What a buncha wusses! Lol jking, rain in the south typically is much heavier than the drizzly mist around here....doesn't make it any less depressing lol

But it's still warm in the South when it rains in the summer, which makes it ok with me and I remember one particular storm in OK...the sky was beautiful afterwards when the sun broke through the clouds.
I admit that happens here once in awhile after a storm and it's just as pretty.
This got me thinking...it's not always the rain that depresses me...sometimes it's just the cold.
Warm rain doesn't bother me. I must be cold-blooded!

We know we are only here for a few more years, but I put people/culture. Seattle is just not a good "fit" for us is so many ways. But the beauty of the land out here will have made this 5 year experience worth while!

That's how I am....I don't mind rain....I look forward to a summer thunderstorm. But the rain is warm and you know shortly the sun will be out again.
But cold rain I can't handle. To me these 50 temps are not mild.....they are cold.....especially when it's raining. And I want 90 degree days when it's summer. After living in FL and OK for the past 18 years....it's what I'm used to and what feels good to me.

If you ask me, Seattle would be a great place to live if not for the oppressive cost of living!

Everyone is different. I was able to tolerate the drizzly days, but once I had children, I dreaded it. Even though children can enjoy indoor activities, I wanted my child(ren) to enjoy playing outside as much or more. So personally, I will take 4 seasons any day.

I don't know if it's the same in TX as OK, but nothing feels more disgusting than for it to be raining while the sun is still out. It's so beyond humid that you will stick to whatever you're wearing, etc.

I think this is another reason I don't like it here. If I was single and no kids I bet I'd get out more...but I feel me and my kids are stuck indoors 80% of the time. I don't want them outside in this drizzle and getting sick
Since moving here they have so many LESS chances to play outside. When it was in the 90s in the summer we were out every day

TX and OK have similar weather. But rain and sunshine usually = rainbows.
