Hi there. I have been offered a position in the Bellevue area. We're moving from Phoenix. I just have the usual doubts/questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since we are not millionaires, I am willing to drive about an hour to work. We would be satisfied If we could get into a neighborhood with good Charter Schools, perhaps one who uses Singapore Math as part of their curriculum. My other son, has an IEP, so information with schools with a good special ED department would also be extremely useful to us. My wife does not work. We are not going to purchase a new home yet, however, we don't intend to move around too much, so if we could rent at first, and purchase our new home within the same area, would be nice. Thank you guys, so so much.

I'd suggest living fairly close to work, and/or using transit. This city isn't built for people to drive an hour twice a day.

Hey Trevo, There are Singapore Math locations in Bellevue and Bothell, both have very good school systems. Bothell is considerably more affordable than Bellevue. Here's the math club link: https://singaporemathsclub.com/our-bothell-programs/

Are you sure you want to leave Phoenix?😉 Good luck with your new move and come back to visit us in the desert when you get a chance.

In Redmond, the RapidRide B line will get you from Redmond TC to Bellevue TC. It's 35 minutes. Your employer will subsidize or give you an Orca transportation card as part of the pay package
Redmond Way has about 1000 new apt units that are going begging. And all are walking distance to elementary school, TraderJoe,QFC,Safeway. Library, TownCenter, Downtown. Negotiate for 2-4 week relocation expenses to look for apartment/rental. Make your best deal amongst the apartments.

Budget? With enough income, anything is possible, of course, but, based on the willingness "to drive about an hour to work," that is not likely the case.

Considering the whole southern Arizona area will be uninhabitable and/or suffer drastic population decline by 2050, per just about every climate change model, I'd GTfO of there, too.

Slow heating up and major increase in above-100F days, environmental terrorists aka illegal aliens invading and spawning, you can kiss the dwindling water supply goodbye. They figure that will start to dry up by 2045 unless serious steps are taken. A 30' border wall is a great Step 1 to slow it down.

No wall needed between us and southern suburbs of Vancouver BC, for some reason...we just have a Friendship Ditch® in Blaine.

WTH, man?

I think you need to further analyze the concept of "environmental terrorist" if your definition is outlined by an impoverished developing/third world citizen that doubtfully ever had a drivers license, much less stepped on a plane or had weekly deliveries of Amazon boxes dropped off to their owner-occupied home.

You like big data, don't you, Blonde? Go figure out the total carbon footprint between an individual living south of our border and someone like yourself. Include occupation and the carbon footprint of both employer and industry and then let's further discuss this concept of environmental terrorism.

Individuals slashing the Amazon counts, but so do those clearing trees over the oil sands in Canada, where lies 70% of the world's bitumen.

If we're going to build a wall around "environmental terrorists" than we need to replace that there ditch.

Also build one around Congress.

And especially around President Make-Coal-Mining-Great-Again®
