Well, Redmond IS considered the "bicycle capital of the northwest." The Seattle area in general is relatively bike friendly.

So yes! Learn to ride a bike. It will save you tons of money if you ride a bike instead of driving your car.
Well, my wife rides well.... but my mother never let me ride a bike when I was little, and now that I'm 31 it's going to be.... really difficult!!

But thanks for the advice... I think you're right....

Well, you do know, don't you, that everything you BELIEVE will be difficult turns out to be -- difficult, doesn't it? And everything you BELIEVE will be a piece o' cake turns out to be, well darn near a piece of cake or even easier, right? It's all about you, not about the bicycle, isn't it? The Universe always gives you back the energy you are sending out... Remember that.

Wise words! I will adopt this approach and let you know if it works... after I get a helmet and nice big elbow and knee pads.

Now THAT'S wisdom!!! Have fun!! And when you're at the end of your life here, you will be as happy as a clam that you learned to ride a bike and didn't steer (to coin a word) away from it.
