Default Concerned about a loved one

Hey All From the State of California

So here is the story any questions.

My friend is 26, has really no employment history that involves her not getting fired. She is TG (Transgender) and has a drivers license the matches her identity, and a ssc that does except for the gender. She smokes a lot AND I DO MEAN LOT of weed. Most likely she lied on resume to create bogus companies that her friends worked for.

She took about 1300 Dollars up there a week ago

When I talked to her last she said she was having a very hard time getting a job that they were not checking her references.

I guess my questions are these.

1. How competitive is a decent paying job up there?

2. Do most companies do drug screenings?

3. How therough are the back ground checks companies do up there?

4. How long if your not paying rent or a hotel room will 1300 dollars last you in seattle?

(sorry about the spelling but im not on mozilla lol)

And a PS she has no CAR!

Sounds like she should get her name on a list for housing ASAP - she's about as unemployable as you can get.

I don't think most companies do drug screenings, but she can rule out getting a job as an air traffic controller, heavy equipment operator, or bus driver.
Not knowing your loved one, i don't know how frugal she is. it's very easy to spend 1300 dollars.

Drug screenings don't happen often - but reference checks do constantly, and it's very competitive up here for a job

Your loved one needs to clean up their act pretty darn quick

Yea i tried to tell her that, but you know how it is when some one just wants to escape... I think she will be coming home sooner then expected. She wants to work in a IT field. She also has only a High School Diploma and I know up there, ya'll got a some smart educated people, but all I can is pray until she is on my door step. She said she wanted to do it alone...

I agree with all the previous posts, and underscore the resume checking here.
May I ask: what is an "ssc"? Thank you.
