Exceptional horn heavy funk music scene at the Seamonster in Wallingford, high musical talent. Gifted local musicians pass through Nectar Lounge in Fremont as well. I was down in Olympia a couple weeks ago, some pretty raw cool music being made down there, a place young musicians can still afford.

LOTS of stuff going on in and around Seattle. I am in a band and play out often and there always people out and about supporting local and touring bands. What is surprising to me is how many people that were in bands in the 80's/90's are still playing in bands and/or going to shows and supporting other bands. It's awesome. I love it here.

Mrs. elkotronics and I are going to see Sawyer Brown tonight at The Inn of the Mountain Gods at Mescalero, NM. Should be a lot of fun - they won a talent contest and $100,000 long ago and so decided ta keep going as a band. I like Mark Miller's voice and songwriting and the rest of the band is more than capable of providing a great time.

Rock and roll! And...country, too?

Thatguy, have you really gotten into the music culture at either the Seamonster in Wallingford or Nectar Lounge in Fremont? There is consistently excellent talent in those places. I find the music at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard to be very good as well.

I was always a fan of waywardmusic.org

I'll pay that forward since someone once posted about Electric Tea Garden on here and gave good, real, info.
