So two club seats would be roughly 30k/year before playoffs, parking, concessions, etc?

Wish they would have gone with "Seattle Freeze." There's a quality double entendre and I think coming off as self aware and a bit socially defacing would have been really hip and funny but then again I'm not Seattle hip so you do you Seattle. The goalie masks would have been legendary.

The Seattle hockey website already has given a big hint, with pink colors, as in sockeye salmon, though they have since removed that pink in favor of more of a red background. I would give it about a 95% chance of being the name. Unless they are trying to throw us off!

Seattle Sockeyes rocks as a name much like Foghat playing the Seattle Center Coliseum in 1978. Yes, I was there, and the sound was loud and correct.

How about the Seattle 'Homeless Children.' I recently heard a local pundit say that there are aprrox. 40,000 homeless children in Washington State. Some on the street, some living in cars, some couch-surfing with relatives. Yet we funnel tax dollars to pro sports athletes and owners. If we won't fund the homeless children, let's at least honor them with a hockey team name.

Don't tell me that the hockey stadium is privately funded. That would be a lie.

Don't believe the lie. The truth is that the new Seattle hockey arena is NOT 100% privately funded.

Good to read correction was made. Sockeye salmons is also known as a "Red" and certainly not to be associated with a "Pink" salmon aka "Humpy".

I'd prefer TOTEMS, which is the traditional hockey-team name hereabouts, but also see why it probably won't be (Native American objections). I also wanted the Mariners to be named RAINIERS, so...

I'll stick with UW Volleyball and Softball, with GA seats at $5 for seniors/youths and $10 for adults (and potentially less with a Husky Gold Card).
