I'm a regular gym person, can't use my beloved incline treadmill as the gym is closed. Walks with wifey are nice but not cutting it for fitness. I tried running the other day but really disliked it. I broke out the old bike and had a good 6 mile ride yesterday. That was promising, though I'm reminded how hilly Seattle is. I rode from where we live in Madison Park down along the lake through Leschi to the I-90 bridge and back. Really nice to get out but more elevation gain and loss than I remembered. I'm thinking I'm going to try for Seward Park next time and maybe (one of these times) get ambitious and do the loop around past Renton, up the east side of Lake Washington and back across one of the bridges.

Besides this, doing about 50 sit-ups and 50 pushups on the floor of my house, stretching too. 3 sets of planks yesterday, lasted about a minute each time. Keep moving, y'all.

I do workout videos, usually Barre. I look for ones that have a good mix of cardio, resistance, and balance work. Usually go for about an hour (includes stretching at the end). Definitely miss the gym, but these are my go-to travel workouts because they can be done with minimal space and equipment, and you can really work up a good sweat. They are not all created equal though, I have a handful of favorites that I go through.

I miss my regular routine, but this is ok for awhile. Gotta keep the body strong to have a good immune system!

Honestly, exercise is a real chore, I'm half-assing it and willing to let any stupid excuse to interrupt it.

I'm used to doing about 30 minutes of yoga and then going for a 30 minute jog. This is before I go to work where I get another 2-3 hours of walking in.

Right now I'm inconsistent with the yoga, maybe getting one class done every other day or every other, other day.

No jogging. I think I might have caught the virus about a month ago. Whatever it was made for a difficult two weeks and although I'm better I just haven't found the grit to start up again.

On the positive side I've been very diligent about walking our steep hills. At least once a day, but usually twice, I do a 45 minute walk up and down. One walk is dedicated to hiking up to the top of our community that offers the very best views of Issaquah Alps, across Seattle to the Olympics. Impressive homes that imitate FANG company offices that I'm sure many of the occupants work for. Yesterday, however, my husband and I chose the scenic route from Central Park, which is centrally located in the neighborhood.... from there you can access an assortment of trail systems... you can get to Tradition Plateau which covers Tiger Mountain and Poo Poo Point, you can pick up the Issaquah Preston trail that takes you towards East Lake Sammamish Trail which is part of a much larger system. We took the trail up towards Grand Ridge Trail (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/grand-ridge-park) the "pre-trail" trail mimics the community property lines, but about 100-150 yards within the greenbelt so you only get a peak-a-boo views of homes every once in awhile. I think it took us an hour to go up and down.

I think my new plan is to take this pre-trail up, start a little into the Grand Ridge Trail, but exit at the top of the neighborhood and enjoy the view on my way down home. I've heard there is an access point at a water tower, but I have to try this out. This way I enjoy nature, seclusion, but also the great views all while getting a decent stretch.

My best friend visited a few months ago and installed the beach body app on my Roku tv. Conveniently for me, she never signed out so I’ve been having some workout dates with Shaun T. Besides that, I purchased some exercise bands for resistance training and stretching, which will do for now.

1/2 cup of popcorn kernals (air popped)/day. My right arm is getting stronger. Trying to limit my carbs. Eating more vegs and clear broths.
Walking is painful from sciatica issues. Chowing down acetaminophen, using a lot of CBD-TCH creams, and occasional tokes.

Hang in there, least, try to move as much as you can.

I've seen a lot of this lately, and I highly recommend it, for the fresh air and sunshine not only boosts your mood, but provides key Vitamin D for maintaining a good immune system.

I also have free weights at home.

I normally like to walk to destinations, but walking for the sake of walking can be nice too. The surreal scene of the shutdown city has been cool, especially when paired with the cool misty spring breeze and good atmospheric music in my earbuds.

I'm not a kitchen person at all, but I'm making do with it. I'd much rather be dining out.
