How about tea, much healthier for you and less calories than latte to boot. Sorry I'm a Brit sticking to my tea. I do think Starbucks is way overrated though and too pricey. McDonalds..no way. Actually Dunkin Doughnuts makes a pretty decent latte that I splurge on once in a while w/a gooie doughnut. ( not healthy either but then that is part of the attraction I'm sure )

oh dear posting that on a Seattle board....you're askin for trouble!! lol jk Personally, while i really love coffee, i'm from the south so i LOVE sweet tea! I mean, brewing tea leaves(much like many types of chinese tea) is nice, but give me some tea with tons of sugar cooked into it and i'm good! And you better keep your gross lemons and splenda away from my sweet tea sucka!

Yes, tea is a great comfort, relaxing drink and enjoy it from time to time, especially the green tea (cold)....but also I should buy stock in Sbux, I normally purchase their beans and grind them as needed to ensure freshness, and make my latte' in my own machine, which saves on $$$ and tastes the same as you would get at the coffee shop....Mcdonalds, I agree NO WAY Jack...they are just trying to attract some Starbucks drinkers...but that drink is 'sucky'..and can't believe ppl are paying money for it...it's like a glass of hot coffee with ice cubes and some flavoring......be for real.....McDonalds......

Yea, it's a "wanna be" iced coffee....McDonalds, stick with your cheaply done burgers and greasy fries.....You are not a coffee shop by far.....

I roast my own beans on my back porch using a bread machine and a heat gun. It's fun, a moneysaver, and produces a superior product.
Holy cow! Is that a Seattle thing?

Even most Seattle folks think I'm pretty "out there". There's actually a homeroasting co-op which is where I usually get my beans from, but also sweet maria's and a company called 2 cups of joe.

What special McDonald's coffee do you have? Our McDonalds down here has had that Iced Coffee since last summer.... is it something different? I didn't find them too bad - but, it's not like my little drive up place in Bothell, that I used to love. 3 shots for 3 bucks!!

Ira, I thought I was a coffee snob... wow!
