I don't think the fact that the house is in the Renton school district should have that much of an impact. First, those houses in Bellevue but in the Renton district are a bit less expensive, which males them a bit more sellable. Second, even though the Renton school district as a whole has a bad reputation and Renton certainly has it's share of bad schools, those schools closest to the Bellevue border are considered quite good.
That all said, houses are selling slowly right now in most of the Seattle area, including homes in the Bellevue school district and the Renton district. This will of course change at some point. I wouldn't stay away from a home in Bellevue just because it's in the Renton school district, but keep in mind that the "good deal" you may be gettng is partly
due to this.
