For me it would have to be North Bend or Snoqualmie.

Issaquah is really nice, but Seattle's skyline from Kerry Park has got to be one of the prettiest city scenes in the country, maybe the world. Seattle's beauty is immense, especially for being a large and busy city.

The nighttime sight of Seattle lit up coming in to the ferry terminal is awesome, and the skyline from afar is nice even during the day. Still, to me natural beauty is far more appealing than city views. Parts of most cities in the Puget sound are scenic, but it's the heavily forested areas of Sammamish, Issaquah, Maple Valley, Snoqualmie and North Bend that are the most beautiful. In Sammamish most everything off of Sahalee Way/228th Ave/SE 43rd is still wooded, with at least 5 lakes, and many views, such as the Cascades, Snoqualmie Valley, Lake Sammamish, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker, and even Seattle depending on where you are. I love driving through the Carnation/Fall City/North Bend/Snoqualmie areas. I suppose it's a matter of personal taste.

I do also love the Snoqualmie River Valley. It's easily the best rural/less populated part of King County.

Seattle still has my vote. I spent part of last weekend hanging out at Lincoln Park... laid back on a blanket with friends, we killed a couple bottles of wine and a joint, had some nice food, talked for a few hours watching the ferries roll in and out and people walk by along the waterfront. It's experiences like this that make the city feel almost European in its essence. (Almost! lol)

Kirkland has a double image. The shoreline is hard to beat. Inner neighborhoods are just average.
