Story on KOMO-TV:
The Hansen family are turning into all sorts of businesses the surprising fame they've acquired from the show which demonstrates in drenched detail their fascinating and dangerous livelihood.

Are you as addicted to the show as I am? Don't you think Capt. Sig is the gentlest, most compassionate of bosses...? He will be the Seafair grand marshal this summer.
Catching up with the local stars of 'Deadliest Catch' | KOMO-TV - Seattle, Washington | Local & Regional
Nice pic of the "Northwestern" docked in Seattle.

Yes! I remember the first time I clicked on it. I couldn't believe this was a TV show! My thought was:

1st Male TV Exec: Okay, nobody in TVland pays attention anyway, so why don't we just film an hour of men pulling crab pots out of the ocean and getting drenched and yelling at each other?

2nd Male TV Exec: Yeah. Y'know, that sounds like fun!

1st Male TV Exec: Okay! We got us a show!!

HUH???

And why do so many of us WOMEN like this show??? Is danger really that seductive? I think my personal love is the ferociousness of the Bering Sea -- I had no idea!!! I love it when the guys haul in a big catch, but it's the sea itself that fascinates me!! And the egg-robbing Raven!

Deadliest catch suprisingly became a big hit in our house. I didn't start watching until a few shows into the season. I got hooked quickly and couldn't wait until the next show. It was terrifying for me to watch but I couldn't stop. I personally like Capt. Jonathon.

Very neat stuff going on for you guys then!

Me too -- scared to watch and couldn't stop!!
Capt. Jonathan is my favorite too -- smart, centered teddy bear. He lives in Seattle too. Rides a supercharged Harley.

The Hillstrand brothers were in Spokane this week doing a signing for their book. Of course I didn't find out about it until the next day.

I know, but he has that character of big guy with a big heart ya know? I just seem to enjoy his turn on the show and I realized before I knew it, I was rooting for his boat.

I Love the Hansen brothers, The Hillstrands and Phil is hilarious....all seem to be genuine good guys. Too bad Rick and his wife left. The Captain he put in charge(the cocky kid) didn't last long. Couldn't stand him.
For me, the show is addicting!
