Travel from Bellevue to Bothell?
Hello, I will be moving to Bellevue shortly and working in Bothell, I can tell by this forum that the 405 South is horrible, but I am wondering what is the commute like from Bellevue to Bothell via the 405. Is there any type of mass transit up that way.
Really more importantly I'd like to know about the travel time and less about mass transit. I'm coming from California (Los Angeles) and don't really feel like going from heavy traffic to heavy traffic.
Thank you and I appreciate the responses.

allforcats is about to slam you for saying "the" 405 vs. 405. Just FYI.
Where in Bothell? King County or Snohomish County?
Commuting from Bellevue to Bothell and back, won't be too bad. Probably 30 mins. Rarely bumper to bumper, but you may run into it occasionally. Enjoy the view as you drive because your fellow commuters on the other side of 405 will be enraged with the traffic they are sitting in - wave at them

Thank you for those links. I've been using those to check out times, but sometimes it's better to get it from actual drivers than the website.
It looks like the commute isn't that bad, but then again the southbound lanes don't look as bad as people say, but I'd believe the people over the dot website.

Community Transit runs a bunch of buses, including express buses, from Bellevue to Bothell.

So, Im assuming that the traffic isn't that bad going North on the 405, it's funny because I currently drive north on the 405 here in SoCal and it's pretty bad depending on how close to LA you get.
I would be interested in the public transit route, but if the traffic isn't that bad I wouldn't mind driving. I've been checking the local live traffic maps and it seems that it get a little backed up at times between the 520 and the 90 going north, but hopefully I can leave early enough to beat the traffic.

Djpuma,
If you don't want to get made fun of for being a Californian, you gotta drop the "the" when referring to a freeway. Here it's not "the" 405, it's "405".

Since you will be doing a reverse commute traffic shouldn't be too bad on North 405 in the mornings, and you shouldn't have too much of a problem going South in the afternoon.

Thanks Ira500, I guess I won't mind the commute on 405 North for work.
Thanks seattlerain, I'll check out the public transit and see if it's worth it or not.
You guys have been a great help and if you have anymore info I would surely appreciate it.
