I'll sum it up for you guys:

I have no attachments to where I am living now. It's just crappy living here. My business is running a website, so I can live anywhere. I am 22 years old and thinking that Seattle is a pretty technologically advanced place, and nice.

My question is... where should I be looking to find a house (or townhouse) under $200,000 near Seattle? Does a place like this even exist nowadays? It It can be in suburbs, wherever, as long as it's clean/safe/the usual.

I have never even visited Washington, but I plan to next month. Help

Thanks

You won't likely find a house in the city of Seattle for anywhere near 200,000 dollars, but you can find some condos or small houses in a few areas not too far away for not a whole lot more . Parts of Tukwila, parts of Renton, parts of Kent, parts of Auburn, the West Hill ( between Renton and Seattle's Rainier Beach), and Tacoma. I think you can probably buy a whole town in North Dakota for 200,000 dollars...I've just seen a couple of houses in the West Hill and Renton sell for just under 200,000 dollars. They're not likely to be featured in House Beautiful Magazine, but they didn't look that bad either.

1. Visit First
2. Explore
3. Rent for one year
4. Buy Home

I hear this allot on this website, very sound advise.
Seattle is beautiful and enchanting and full of techies such as yourself. You will have allot in common with allot of people (assumption) And since you are moving from ND, you will most likely not "kavetch" (sp?) over the weather too much. However trade in your heavy coat for a gortex jacket.

Enjoy the journey
