Local News | Snow at Snoqualmie Pass overnight, but warmer weather for Seattle later this week | Seattle Times Newspaper

"It's about time: Puget Sound residents may soon get a brief respite from the persistent chill that has given Seattle its coldest start to June on record — and forced snowplows back to work to battle seven inches of snow on Snoqualmie Pass."

About time, I wholeheartedly agree with that. June has SUCKED big time so far We got cheated out of a summer last year, what did we do to the weather gods?

Also found this bit interesting:

Mass said in the mix of all the statistics, he's put together the "barbecue" index. That's the number of times since March 11 (the usual start of spring here) temperature climbs to 60 degrees or more — a temperature that Mass thinks people are comfortable being outside in.

"It turns out that this year was the worst year of the barbecue index since 1917," said Mass. "We only got to 60 degrees 23 times this year. Compare that to 1934 [74 times] times or 1992 [69]."

Seattle has long ago vanquished its chances of me living here... now it's just working on eliminating all hope of me even visiting anymore. We can't even count on a summer.

Are you breaking up with Seattle? Maybe Seattle is relieved because Seattle has been seeing someone else on the side.

June has a little bit of everything. I was out on June 5th and took these. Yes it was raining earlier but the sun broke through about 4:00 after I left work. Still cool and a bit windy.

Botev, you have been in Seattle way too long if you think that picture represents a partly cloudy day.... but arguing this with you and Seattlerain is no where near as productive as simply sticking a fork in my eye... so I think I may try that instead. You guys are so out there in this regard, it's pointless... it would be like trying to talk about a bad day to allforcats.
