Default I played golf today.

It was definitely cold for this time of year, but I wore shorts, a long sleeved shirt with a golf polo and never had a problem.

It spit a few showers but never rained.

How many of those who complain ever actually DO anything outside when it's below 70 degrees?

I truly believe that actual activity does more to counter what is considered 'bad' weather than anything else.

Sitting inside and looking at clouds certainly can't help.

Oh well.. to each his/her own.

I hiked on Squak Mountain yesterday AM. It was quite nice, meaning it was rainy/misty, but I was under a tree canopy so hardly got wet.
I wouldn't like the weather stay like that forever, but sunshine is overrated.

I'm out in it everyday. I have some furry friends who would be very unhappy otherwise. We take two 2 mile walks a day. And then if it's not raining I take another one by myself.

What bothers me is that I love being in my backyard and I don't spend much time there out here because it's always soggy and muddy. I always came home from work and had a glass of wine on my deck to relax and watch the dogs romp around chasing squirrels or birds.

I do agree that exercise is the best medicine for your mental health. And being outside to exercise is even better. But, I have to admit that I don't ride my bike as much out here....I miss that.

I used to be an avid biker and hiker - but I don't anymore until July or august ( it seems the time most people who enjoy this damp weather scurry inside their homes)

I hardly ever take my bike out and I really miss it.

I'm at the gym 4 or 5 days a week. But not outside - I'm much too cold. And I've had two sinus infections that put me in the hospital since moving here - so I do not exercise in the moist air. Ever.

We have ahuge back yard and my husband has told me I've been back there about 6 times since moving here 4 years ago. Which is sad. Because in Calif, I probably spent 80% of the year outside.

SO you can golf in the drizzle and you can hike in it too, but just being out in it makes me even more soggy and miserable then being couped up inside 10 months of the year

My wife will be out gardening in the cold and rain all the time. It's probably not because she loves the weather, it's more like an opportunity to get away from her husband.

This is the most horrible June ever. June 2007 had 4 days in the 80s, 8 days in the 70s, 15 in the mid and upper 60s and ONLY 3 days when the temperature reached only 58 and 59. June 2006 had 1 day - 90, 5 days 80s, 8 days 70s, 13 in the upper 60s and 3 in the mid 60s

Yeah, I think we got spoiled with all of those nice days in May. What a crappy week, is should be at least 20 degrees warmer right now. Hopefully next week will be better.

According to weather.com it won't be sunny until the 16th, and even then they show a 20% chance of rain. Of course weather predictors hardly have a perfect accuracy rate so we might get some sun...but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Supposedly we are in for more below-normal temperatures.
