Default Even the Kent area

When I worked graveyard shift in Kent about 2 years ago there was a driveby at my work! Who in the hell would shoot up a Mcdonalds?? (I was a manager at the time) And then after they shot up there they went across the road and shot up the 7/11! I guess it doesnt really matter where you live anymore... unless you live out in the boondocks or fancy smancy neighborhoods. But even then ya never know. BUT I dont think alot of these crimes happening around seattle or wa are gang related. I think mostly its just a bunch of wanna be punks or wanna be gangsters. Lotsa those around here in South King...

There are plenty of gangs in seattle lol hell there are bloods in madison park, they've been there since i was a child. Most of the gangsters here are bored (upper) middle class black people with guns and nothing to do.

The Seattle-PI had a "gang map" recently.

Gang link seen in shootings (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/389292_shootings25.html - broken link)

There is a research showing very strong relationship between clouds and gangs gatherings. According to the research, gangs and clouds love each other. This is why Seattle is not only the rain, but, also, the gang capitol of the United States. This is why, according to the same research, the further south and sunnier you go, the fewer gangs you will see. Those few gangs in a more sun friendly areas also have fewer gang members! The research compares major cities on the Pacific coast of US. Because LA has no clouds but only some smog, there are no gangs in LA. It's because gangs don't like smog. It makes them sick (astma). So they move north. Unfortunately, all decent people leave Seattle and move south! Also, please keep in mind that because all decent people probably already left Seattle, all Seattlites posting in this forum are probably gang members . This may be the reason why locals are so reluctant to admit the obvious

depends on where in Cali you came from. I have spent much time in Seattle and never saw a gang member there. From Queen Anne to Redmond, to Bellevue to West Seattle to Madrona.

Never saw 1 gang member.

What are neighborhoods are they frequenting up in Seattle?

Here is how you know you have gangs around.
People start dying.
Not getting robbed (normal teens can do that), not getting burglarized (kids do that to), not when your car is stolen or broken into(again darn kids), but when people start shooting each other to KILL.

You will see a spike in murders in the affected areas. If you have a once off shooting every so often, that is NOT true gang activity, because real gangs do retalliation. And you would have a lot of innocecnt bystanders getting shot as well.

Ostriches who see no gang activity, get your heads out of the sand.

Excerpted from nwgangs.com:

UPDATE: 11/24/2008- Busy, busy weekend in Seattle. If you haven't heard there were several shootings in the Seattle area over the weekend, two of them I know have ties to local gangs. You can read the news stories above. Because of this I was interviewed on 710 KIRO radio today and because of that I'm seeing more than the normal amout of e-mails. So I will write back ASAP.

Also this weekend I was in Yakima and took around 70 new graffiti photos for the website. So check out the new photo album and I will get them posted real soon!
