why so many gangs in Seattle?....Washington?
I swear I have never seen so much concentration of gangs and wannabe gangs in the US. Not even in cali!
what gives??
suddenly I am thinking my move to Seattle was a dumb idea

please tell me where the gangs are I am interested to find out,I keep hearing to stay away from West Seattle,White center,south Seattle but yet I have actually not found an area where I don't feel safe.they seem to be a bunch of minorities in these areas and It seems that must be why the area is percieved as unsafe...many parts of Los Angeles you so much as stop your car on certain streets and you will get shot or mugged guaranteed..i still have not found an area in Seattle that is anything near this!!!!! where the heck are you referring to?

There are gangs?? Where?
I'm originally from Los Angeles and I can say there is a miniscule amount of gang activity in Seattle - and that's even coming from someone close to Aurora BLVD
Sacramento has more gangs then here - Seattle is peaceful compared to Calif (as far as gangs go)

LOL there are more gangs in Spokane and Ellensburg than there are in the Puget Sound area.

You mean wannabe gangsters? I don't think it was a dumb idea to move because of that. They try to be "hard" like they are from the South Central LA we see in the movies, but I never understood why. This town is not dangerous...it's silly for people here to try to live like they're Tupac or something, but some do.
I wouldn't worry about it. I think most wannabe gangsters spend alot of time watching their backs for other wannabe gangsters.

Got some numbers on that? I find it hard to belive that Spokane, with a metro pop of just under 500K, has more then the ENTIRE PS area.
