I'm moving to the Green Lake area in mid-July. I am an English teacher. Can anyone give me some information about school districts/schools that might be handy? I have done some reasearch of my own and it seems that jobs are going to be quite difficult to come by in Seattle schools.
Schools to gravitate towards?
Schools to avoid?
Thoughts on the Bellevue district?
I've applied for a temporary redidency credential, and have a professional clear credential from California. Are WA schools focusing on only candidates who have already secured WA credentials? I hope I have a chance.

I've worked in what's considered an inner city district in CA for the past 4 years, and would like to have a fresh start somewhere a little safer.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

School districts within commuting distance to Greenlake include Seattle, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Lake Washington( Kirkland, Redmond) Tahoma ( Maple Valley) Renton, Kent, Tukwila, Northshore( Bothell, Kenmore) Issaquah, Highline(Burien) and Shoreline..I'm sure I'm missing a few.
Of those, Bellevue, Issaquah, Shoreline,Mercer Island and Tahoma are considered a cut above.
