NewEnglandVisitor is on a distinguished road
Smile teacher visitor lookin for travel companion in July

I'll be in Seattle for 8 days by myself. Decided at 40 (this year) to start seeing more of this super country. And I start with a place very far away- Seattle (I've been to Hawaii and Las Vegas already, nothing else past the Mississippi!).
Any way to find a companion to see sites, travel, hike a mountain, etc?
Any tourist companies to recommend?
I am self sufficient and am certainly NOT looking to hook up (so a lady might be a little less awkward- but not limiting myself),
but it would be fun to meet other visitors, or locals who have free time (maybe other teachers enjoying the summer off like I am)....
Where and how does one go about making a connection like that?

I want to do lots of stuff everyday....the week I am there (tues- tuesday) the SeattleBites is happening- would be fun to have someone to meet and talk to. The Red Sox are playing. I am hoping to buy tickets to Monday's game.

What do you guys suggest??..I have done lots of research and lots of logged on time to the internet finding out all I can about the city. Makes me want to relocate! I can't wait to see it.

And New England is great- I did this once for a couple from Germany and we traveled to Boston, the Cape, New York City..and had a blast. It was fun for both of us (them and me) to have someone to do things with)

Sincerely, Me from MA
