Default what are you wearing?

Hi! We are going to be visiting Seattle on Wednesday, I'm trying to decide what to pack? What are people wearing this time of year with the weather so chilly? Thanks!

Definitely jeans....with a t-shirt or tank....layer with light jacket. That should keep you warm enough. You might want to add a sweater to the layering..... just in case. Add a hoodie or rain jacket....again, just in case. Leave the heels at home for sure. Comfy shoes for all the hills.....thank goodness they make cute comfy shoes now. Too chilly still for sandals.

I agree with samsmom and because you are coming from such an extreme temp difference, bring plenty of layers. When I moved to Seattle last July from TX I froze. The 65 degrees here is much different than 65 in TX because of the dampness. Today was the first day I wore shorts THIS YEAR other than when going for a run and I think it's going to cool down a bit Wednesday. I typically wear jeans or capris, Keens, and a tank with hoodie or a fleece over it. Bring a waterproof jacket just in case. Wish you had been here Fri-Today...the weather has been amazing.

How true. I landed here last 4th of July which was a beautiful day but I must have taken off/put on my hoodie about 3,000 times. Couldn't decide if I was chilly or fine but have fast learned it's best to be prepared here!

Today is Tuesday Morning

I am wearing a cableknit turtleneck sweater, corduroy pants and boots, and a rain jacket with hood.

I also come from a warm climate, the first year I was here I got sick all the time because my body was not used to being so damp and chilly.

Layers. T-shirt because the sun might pop out again at any moment and it'll be warm; sweatshirt because right now, it's not. (I'm working on my couch, next to an open window, but with a sweatshirt on. :-) )

You won't need shorts, pants will cover anything. It's not very warm, but it's not that cold either.

Fleece is the local uniform -- if you have a north face fleece, you can put that over your short-sleeved shirt and be fine, and you'll look totally local. :-)
