Seattle "UNFROZEN" gathering
I propose all the people that gather on this forum and just can't seem to get going making new friends, get together for a Seattle "Unfrozen" gathering at a beach or park or someone's house. Everyone has different interests but amongst those that find it hard making friends it would be a worthwhile gathering. For sure there would be plenty to discuss.
Love to see such a gathering if there has not been one yet and would love to get it down on film and documented.I envision everyone wearing name tags with their screen name and month/year when they moved to Seattle and their current age. We could study what appears to be a real problem in the Seattle area and go low tech, actually meeting people.
If I could work out the logistics and security who would be open to such a thing,I'm thinking mid summer when the weather is perfect.
Just a noon time gathering of people looking to talk and actually make progress on what seems to be a fairly big issue in Seattle. Or am I crazy to envision such a thing and do people in Seattle actually prefer to be voice in the shadows, a face unseen, and friendless in order to keep what thus far seems to be a cloudy convoluted myth in my opinion going.
Good or bad let me hear your thoughts...

I think it's a super idea! I'd come.
When we lived overseas i bumped into an expat website in that city. They had Friday night drinks and Christmas parties and little by little I met people and made friends. All through the internet.
Some of them are my friends still, a world away.
People are kinder and gentler when they emerge from behind their computers and mingle in person.
Great idea. How do we make it happen? Who's in?

I want to see a count of all that have said they would come, and then all who actually do - and a seperate count for those who back out at the last minute.
...just having fun...

This would be cool, especially since I want to move to the area soon and I like to socialize and make some new friends.

Anti-Freeze meetup? Sounds sort of toxic if you eat it.
