Default Affordable places to live between Bothell and Redmond

OK here is the situation, we were going to live in Bellevue because it was equally distant between my job and a friends job. Well, now our friends have gotten their own place and we need to find an affordable 1 to 2 bedroom Apt, home, condo.

I will be working in Bothell and my girlfriend will hopefully be working in Redmond, she doesn't want to live in/near bothell because of traffic going to redmond.

If anyone can give some insight on some nice cities or even properties to live at that are affordable and good on traffic both ways, no more than 1100 for a 1BR that would be great.

Thanks.

Off the top of my head I'd suggest looking at Juanita.

What do you consider 'affordable'? Affordable for someone making $30K is a lot different than for someone making $80K.

Affordable making 50K. $1200 max, but less would be nice.
1 or 2 bedroom.
