Default I need some info about colleges in Seattle area

I'm a senior in Oklahoma right now, but i'm very interested in colleges in Washington. I want to be an english/journalist/literature major, or perhaps major in theatre. Does anyone know of any good colleges in the Seattle area, or close to there. I don't know anything about the colleges there, but would like to get some personal opinions.

Is Seattle a good choice for a college student? Is it difficult to get jobs? Basically, what would it be like for a college student in Seattle? If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

The University of Washington has majors in all the areas you asked about. It's a good school, two of my sons have gone there.

Cornish College of the Arts has a theater program.

The Evergreen State College in Olympia might just be your cup of tea, attracts lots of creative types. I attended Evergreen about 100 years ago, and one of my best pals there became a fairly well known investigative journalist, and another is someone making his living as an actor. Another 'Greener was Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons.

How near Seattle do you need it to be? Both the University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University down in Tacoma are great schools.

Well, I don't need to be very close. I guess it doesn't matter where in Washington, I'm just looking for good schools, especially for theatre or acting.
