Ok, so this is my one shop stop for asking all sorts of questions.

Is there a good dealer for cars, that doesn't **ck you over? No?

Also, is there a credit union that's good for such type of business? I can be a member of FirstTech, BECU and Alaska Credit Union. Don't know of any others that offer < 5% rates right now?

Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. I've bought 3 used cars from them since 1988 -- they've lasted, and I got pretty good deals from them. "Pretty good" as opposed to "steals" because when I buy cars I want ones that run, don't fall apart, and will last a very long time, and I'm happy to pay for all that.

BECU and Alaska CU are both very good, as is Verity.

By all means, get your financing set BEFORE you go to the car dealer. If they can beat the interest rate, then go with them.

What kind of car are you looking for? Most dealers out here (and anywhere else for that matter) will try to milk you if you're not prepared.
