Default Renton or kent

Moving to the Seattle area next month. husband already there for job transfer. Trying to decide best place to live. Renton or Kent. Can someone please give me so inside details.
Fiarwood Greens area of Renton or West Hill area of Kent.
I have 2 children that would go to Star Lake Elementary and 2 teenage girls that would go to Thomas Jefferson HS.
Any help would be so awesome!!

Hi Belinda- Welcome to the neighborhood! I grew up in Fairwood Greens, now I own two Renton properties & would highly recommend Renton over Kent- except the Star Lake/Thomas Jefferson commute, you'll be dealing with 167 from either city- but Kent *is* closer to Federal Way, so that may be your best bet... Either way- check out your neighborhood carefully, I think nowadays it's not so much the area you live as the actual neighbors you live next to that determines the "feel" of your new home...
