Any Oklahoma City Thunder fans in Seattle?
Will any Seattle folks follow the OKC Thunder Basketball Club or possibly visit Oklahoma to see a game? Mark Cuban apparently has lost his Dallas Mavericks fan base in Oklahoma. I guess Seattle may be Portland fans.

I was going to follow the team when they were thinking about calling them the Bombers. Once they decided on Thunder, I decided I won't be a fan.

Why not be a fan? The people playing on the team have no more and no less connection to Seattle than they did when they played here, other than the name on their jerseys. They weren't from Seattle and they didn't settle in Seattle. They are the same mercenaries who wore our city name.

I will be rooting for the team to continue their long run of being very bad, for Durant to leave ASAP because he hates it in Oklahoma, and for the team to struggle financially as soon as the honeymoon period wears off (shouldn't take too long I would imagine). Then I want Bennett to have to sell the team and watch them move away due to poor financial performance...but I'm not bitter

I am eagerly awaiting the NBA schedule for the 08-09 season so that I can buy tickets to the Portland-OKC game. I know the players really don't deserve to be booed, as they really had no choice in the matter, but I will be booing vociferously, its my right as a grieving fan.

That's the true business of the NBA.
Someone buys the team and then insists that they can't be profitable without massive public subsidies. Then they decide to sell the team - sooner if they don't get the subsidy, later if they do. Then the owners make their money on the sale of the team a few years down the road.
Rinse, repeat.
