Default Seattle residence

Hi there,

I would like to move to Seattle for STUDYING purpose. I'm going to enroll U of Washington.

Would you advice me about the nice & good neighborhood there?

I'm looking for great place near to the many services (i.e. Market, Bus, ...)

Also, could you help me with internet web sites addresses that I can do my search.

Thnx

Try the North Seattle area. Many UW students live in this area because it is close to services and an easy commute by bus to school. It's cheaper(somewhat) than the University area and less crowded(again, not by much). Go to www.forrent.com and search properties in that area. Northgate, Roosevelt, Mapleleaf are all good areas to try.
Also, Craig's list has tons of places on it. Good luck!

Living in UW campus housing might also be another option worth looking into.

Do you want an apartment or a house? Will you have a car or do you plan to walk to stores and classes?

Thank you all for respond.

I prefer a house rather than an apartment and I'll have a car as well.

Thanx again

The Montlake neighborhood south of the campus is nice. I don't know much about the other areas close to campus but some are nice and some aren't.

Here's a link showing crime density for Seattle.
