Hey There,

I developed a taste for Bollywood some years ago. I've found a movie theater that shows Bollywood movies in Kirkland but we haven't moved to the area yet, so I was wondering if anyone here could tell me what it's like. I've only been to one BW film (Koi Mil Gaya) at an actual theater (I've seen many on DVD and own a ton of CD's) and it was fun. I'd like to go more often but where we are now it is a 2 hour drive to the nearest theater that shows BW movies (Fremont, NorCal). We will be living in Mill Creek.

I'm also looking for a shop that carries CD's and DVD's and any restaurant recs.

Is there an Indian radio station/show or a TV show (Showbiz India or Namaste America) in the area?

Thanks for indulging my off beat requests
Next week-Flamenco!

Danyawad!

Pete

There used to be a theater right in Fremont (on Mowry in the shopping center where the Tower Records used to be, and I think there's a Safeway in there, and maybe a Target now). Is that theater closed? I used to live in Fremont.

I now live in the Seattle area, and we have an Indian market in our town (Issaquah), but I don't know about theaters.

V. =)

I think you've found the most well known local place for Bollywood movies, Totem Lake Cinema.

That theater is still there. It's called NAZ8.

My wife and I are moving to the Seattle area soon and we hope to catch a few BW movies on the big screen. Like Michael said, I have found Totem Lake Cinema and was hoping to get a little info about it. Maybe I'll just go and post a report here-

I'll check out that shop in Issaquah-

Bahut Shukriah!

The Totem Lake theater is the only one I've heard of in the area.

There's a place called Apna Bazar (Indian products, groceries, DVDs, etc) in Bellevue. From what I've heard, local Desis like the place a lot. Mayuri restaurant in Bellevue is really good.

There are legit restaurants and stores in Seattle and the East Side (especially Bellevue, Redmond, Kent, Renton)
