Cool Extremely sunny

My significant other and I flew into SeaTac and drove around the Eastside and up to Everett on the weekend of the 27th/28th. We were prepared for mist, rain, fog, cold, snow...not for the _blinding_ sunlight. The light was very distinctive (compared to Southern California sunny days). Shadows were sharp-edged, the colors were bright and contrast was crisp. I was very glad I brought my sunglasses with me.

It was great for driving around and getting in and out of the car to check out neighborhoods, but I was hoping to see what winter weather is like there.

My boyfriends sister is hoping we'll move up...when I asked if that sunny weather is typical, she gave a vague answer. I can't think that weekend was usual for the area.

Oh, and the funny thing was, when we got back home, it rained.

My apologies to PWRIGHT1- you posted those beautiful pictures- they're amazing ! Where were you in the 4th pic, on the hill overlooking, I assume it's the Sound- is that "IN" Seattle or an outlying city ??

Is there a picture gallery on this site from guests/members ??

WE CAN'T WAIT !!!

That indeed is in west Seattle above Alki Beach. Since you are moving here in the summer I thought I would show you summertime pics I took in Seattle.
