Hello to all,
Moving to Seattle area by end of Nov job relocation wondering how will we be excepted. We are two lovely people who have never been up north before will we feel at home or will we want to run back to Kali?

Hi. I can't read the second part because it's too faint.
But please feel relaxed. The Seattle area has a nicely live-and-let-live atmosphere. Folks are generally accepting and many are welcoming.
Where are you considering living? Where will your job(s) be? Commuting can take hours per day, so you want to live as close as you can to where you work, and/or live close to public transportation. What's your budget? Do you need apartment/house rental resources? House purchase resources?

You'll be perfectly accepted in the Seattle area, but coolness and dampness is something that not everyone likes.
I live right outside of Renton and like it. It's a less expensive and increasingly diverse place, and not too bad of a trip to Bellevue...When you say "highland" are you talking about the Issaquah Highlands or the Renton Highlands or another place entirely?

P.S. When Ira500 said "coolness", he meant climate, not social attitudes.

Okay. Yeah, there is a neighborhood within Bellevue known as the Highlands as well between NE 8th and Bel-Red Rd...it's a nice area.
..And it doesn't always rain here, but it's cool and drizzly a lot. And Allforcats is right, I don't mean that in the "cool, groovy" kind of way.
