People are lazy to click on links so a simple copy & paste doesn't pain me much anyway.

As you can see from my previous post I fully expect people with pre-judgement to dismiss it.

There is nothing to prove on my part, and I don't gain anything by making you feel bad when comparing to Vancouver. I am happy enough that Seattle is one of the best in US.

My most vivid memory are the mobs of homeless... that, and a cool design for the public library. My other vivid memory is getting lost in a giant cookie cutter mall with a poorly designed underground parking in which I got lost looking for my car for almost an hour. Never had that happen in the States because things are actually labeled well. And does this "quality of living" study factor in the atrocious Canadian health care? Clearly not. I will admit the food was pretty good, though. The hotels, however, were pretty bad.

And before you think I'm just a know-nothing who's seldom left WA, I am from the Northeast and have spent two weeks in Sydney and plenty of time in Toronto and Boston as well. Sydney, I will admit, might be superior to Seattle. Toronto is a fine city, but I didn't see its advantages over Seattle. As for Boston being better than Seattle, where do I start? Boston is a pit of doom.
I read this, and I just had to add that once, while visiting the Mall of America, my co-worker lost his rental car in the parking lot there. We had to take a cab to work, and then have a cab driver drive us around the parking structure (for like 20 minutes) until the rental car was found. So it can happen in the US, too.
