Hotels near Husky Stadium
Hey there everyone, I'm from Vancouver, Canada and am looking to come down for the Washington/Notre Dame game on October 25th. I have a couple of questions to make sure my trip down is perfect.
My first question would be, how old must you be to rent a hotel in Seattle? I'm only 18 and from what I have heard, you can be 18 and rent a hotel.
Secondly, I'm looking for a hotel to stay at that is 3 star, or around the quality of a Best Western. Is Husky Stadium near downtown? Because I will be going down on the Thursday before the game, and will be wanting to spend my time downtown, so a hotel somewhere inbetween the two would be ideal.
Lastly, I know it gets fairly hectic on gamedays, so is Bus the best way? Or since we're not familiar with the area, would driving to the game be better?

I believe that you can rent a hotel, but you can contact each hotel directly for more information. From my understanding, as long as you have a credit card and are of age, there are no further restrictions.
Husky Stadium is on the U-District side of things, but it is across from the Montlake area. This area is close to the stadium, but I doubt it would have much to peak your interest, apart from the Arboretum and its environs. If you want to stay between the two areas (Downtown and the U-District), I would look in the Lake Union area.
Silver Cloud Inn has a hotel in the Lake Union area ...

Whatever you do, don't drive! The traffic doesn't move much. You'd be much better off taking the bus. If you stay in Lake Union, you can take any of the 70 buses (70, 71, 72, 73) to University Way in the U-District and then take either the 43 or 44 to go directly to the stadium (or walk the rest of the way ... just follow the people).
Have fun!

How far is downtown from University District? If it isn't that far from there... then it would be better staying downtown then yes?

The U-district is about six miles from downtown. You can easily catch a bus downtown to the University District. However, hotels downtown are very pricey.

If that's the case (pricey hotels), where is an area that wouldn't be bad to stay in which isn't far from either downtown or U-District.
I know already of Lake Union being inbetween, but places outside of downtown that are furthur from U-District wouldn't be bad as long as there is a bus that can take us to U-District.
