Default ATL to Seattle

My wife and I are considering moving our family to the Seattle area in the next year or so. What are the good areas to be looking at for homes? We don't mind living outside of the city.

Also, how is the work for musicians out there?

Thank!

Grindcore,
Everybody's definition of a "good area" is different, so being more specific would be helpful. What constitutes a good area to you? A fun, diverse neighborhood where there's a lot of stuff to walk to, or a quiet suburb full of new houses?

I know a few folks who make their livings as musicians here( including my brother in law)...Nobody's getting rich, but there is work. My brother in law wasn't getting enough work from gigs, but he supplements it with teaching flute, sax, and clarinet, and bewtween the gigs and the teaching, he does fine.
