we may be moving to seattle this summer and a friend told me he had read about a "famously" interracial nieghborhood in seattle, much like one we live in philly. anyone know which it might be?

Perhaps Mount Baker? That is the only neighborhood I could potentially think of - but I have never heard of anything in Seattle considered "Famously Interracial".

The first one is the Madrona district, East of Downtown by Lake Washington. It has always been a fairly integrated area. The Central area was known as the black area, but has always had whites and other races living there. There are few "lily White" areas except for Magnolia district.
