Default Seattle Communications Job Market

Hi all

My wife and I currently live in Washington DC and recently visited Seattle and aside from the lack of preparation for snowstorms, had an extremely positive impression of the city and the surrounding areas. We are considering relocating to be closer to family who live here and have a few questions.

Jobs: my wife works as a graphic designer with over ten years of experience in her field. I work as a web content editor -- basically a writer/editor/project manager with HTML skills but I am not a programmer. I basically take care of the day-to-day maintenance of a large-scale web site. My primary work experience has been with trade and academic associations and nonprofit organizations in DC and I have a Masters degree in Communications.

Can any folks give me a clue about the job scene in Seattle for people with our professional background?

Thanks

Hi, and wecome to the many, including me, who love this area!

Employment is, as you know, always an individual thing. For starter research -- maybe even finding the job(s) you want -- here is NWSource, the combined classifieds of the two newspapers in a wide area in and around Seattle:
